Moorebank Avenue Upgrade Works

Client:         BMD Constructions

Contract:    $5.2m

Status:         Ongoing

Gremalco has been awarded the Moorebank Avenue Upgrade Works (Electrical, Street Lighting and Communications) from BMD Constructions. The upgrade contributes to enabling construction and operational access for the Moorebank Logistics Park (MLP) development

MLP is Australia’s largest freight infrastructure project which will link Port Botany directly to rail terminals and warehousing on a 243 hectare site in Moorebank. At full capacity, it will reduce road congestion along the M5 by cutting 3,000 container truck movements between Port Botany and Moorebank each day. And it will also see a reduction of 40,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions per annum.

Gremalco’s scope of works includes the Loop Road Works, Moorebank Avenue Diversion Road and Moorebank Avenue and Anzac Road Intersection Works, and involves:

  • installation of new RMS street lighting and private street lighting
  • 33kV and 11kV overhead and underground infrastructure
  • installation of communications infrastructure including NBN, Telstra and Optus
