Estimator (Utilities)

 

THE ROLE

You will have an active role in the tendering of contracts through the analysis of plans, specifications, proposals and other data in preparing time, cost and labour first principles estimates for utility infrastructure projects, with a specific focus on electrical utilities.  Your role also includes contract review and post-tender handover activities.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor degree in engineering, construction or quantity surveying
  • Experience with first principles estimating, contract reviews and preparing risk/opportunity registers
  • Ability to plan and manage the estimating activities required to meet bid preparation program requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build rapport and influence people
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • White Card
  • Current drivers licence
